📜 Today's Meditation

Paul begins with a profound fact: you have already been raised with Christ. This is not a future goal—it is something that has already happened. Resurrection was not an event that occurred only in Jesus; it is a reality that has already begun in all who believe in Him.

Notice the word 'therefore.' This is crucial. Paul is saying that the fact of resurrection must reshape how we live. Because we have been raised, we must seek the things above. Faith is not merely agreement with a past event; it is allowing that event to transform the direction of our lives today.

To seek the things above does not mean escaping reality or denying the world beneath our feet. Rather, it is about asking: where shall I find true value? What will be my standard for making choices? When we focus only on what this earth offers—security, recognition, success—we quickly grow weary. These things are temporary; they change and disappear.

That Christ sits at the right hand of God means our direction is fixed upon what cannot be shaken. Since the morning of resurrection, everything has changed. Take time today to examine: what am I truly living for?

🙏 Today's Prayer

Lord, I believe that I have been raised with Christ. Yet so often the things of this earth still grip my heart. Turn my eyes upward today. Help me not to seek only what brings recognition, comfort, and safety, but to pursue what matters eternally—your presence. Let me live as one who has been raised. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
