📜 Today's Meditation

After the Resurrection, the disciples lived in fear. Jesus spoke to them with these words: "In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." This was not mere comfort, but a declaration rooted in absolute truth. Christ's victory over death through His resurrection gave His disciples—and gives us—the power to face anything.

The tribulations we encounter are real. Illness, loss, injustice, suffering—these cannot be avoided in this world. Yet the fact that Jesus overcame the world means that every difficulty we face is not the final word. The Cross and Resurrection proved that God's love is stronger than death itself.

Jesus's command to "be of good cheer" does not mean we should ignore reality. Rather, it means we should live within that reality confident in Christ's victory already won. The risen Jesus conquered both the power of death and the power of sin. That victory is now given to all who live in Him.

Whatever tribulation comes our way today cannot diminish Christ's victory. Like the disciples after the Resurrection, we too can move from fear into boldness. This boldness comes not from our own strength, but from our identity in the One who has already overcome the world.

🙏 Today's Prayer

Lord Jesus, I confess that I often forget the power of Your Resurrection and tremble in fear. The difficulties I face sometimes seem so great that I lose sight of Your victory.

In this moment, grant me a deep vision of Your risen presence. Let the love of God declared through the Cross and Resurrection overcome all my fears. Give me courage in the midst of my afflictions, and strengthen my faith to trust in the victory You have already won.

Help me to be a child of the overcomer today. Amen.
